Benzac AC - Prescription Acne SolutionBenzac AC

As an anti-inflammatory and highly effective antibacterial, Benzac AC is used as a topical acne treatment. By drying out acne and allowing the skin to peel, whiteheads, blackheads, and acne bacteria, along with a noticable amount of oil are descreased. Benzac is available as both gels and face washes in concentrations ranging from 5 to 10%

Benzac AC can sometimes increase sun sensitivity so be sure to avoid excessive exposure until you know how your skin will react. Women pregnant or planning on becoming pregnant should discuss with a physician the benefits and risks of using this medicine during pregnancy.

When using Benzac AC, it may take up to several weeks before you start to see improvement. Be sure to follow your doctors recommendations and continue treatment for the full recommended duration. If you do not see noticable improvements, or you find that your condition begins to worsen you should immediately check with your doctor.

It is also important to avoid getting this medication in your eyes, insisde your nose or mouth, or on your lips. In the event of contact with your eyes rinse immediately with cold water. If you intend on using along with any other skin treatments, aftershaves, cleansers, or medications, be sure to check with your doctor first.

  • Stinging
  • Feeling of warmth

Less Common Side Effects. (Should you experience any of these less common, and more serious side effects, you should consult your physician immediately:

  • Tenderness
  • Redness of Skin
  • Extreme Dryness
